Charlotte Bauer is a Missouri native and an emerging NYC-based film and media composer.  She took piano lessons and sang in choir and musical theater growing up, and she feels a passion for numerous aspects of the musical process, including writing, producing, orchestrating, and performing.

Charlotte’s musical voice lends to deep, emotional storytelling, an intimacy that emerges in diverse styles and textures.  Her music often incorporates poignant melodies, colorful harmonies, and enchanting sonic identities.  She approaches each project with the intention of representing narratives with care and authenticity, her distinct sound determined to showcase her perspective in collaboration with other creative outlets and visions.

Currently, Charlotte is attending New York University, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Music Theory and Composition, specializing in Screen Scoring.  Her original scores and arrangements have been recognized in film festivals such as the East Village New York Film Festival, the Fusion Film Festival, the NYU Sight and Sound Winter Showcase, and the All-American High School Film Festival.  Her music has additionally been awarded in competitions at the state and national levels.  She continues to release original music to present her own experiences and stories.
